Switzer 'Embarrassed' By Arrest

Dallas Cowboys head coach Barry Switzer says an "innocent, honest" mistake led to his arrest on gun possession charges. Switzer was taken into custody yesterday after authorities found a loaded pistol in his carry-on luggage at Dallas-Forth Worth International Airport. The offense is a third-degree felony punishable by two to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000. Switzer says he put the gun in his travel bag because children were visiting his home and he wanted to keep it out of their hands. Switzer claims he forgot about the gun and carried it by mistake when he left for the airport. Switzer calls the incident "embarrassing."
